Glucosamine Glucosamine is an amino sugar naturally produced by the body. It helps produce some of the molecules that form cartilage, the cushioning substance between your joints. The body's ability to produce glucosamine seems to diminish over time, which is why a glucosamine supplement can be helpful in maintaining and restoring joint health.
